Amy Takahara is a seasoned media executive with over 20 years of experience in content acquisition, distribution, and creative development, specializing in kids’ and family entertainment. She has held key leadership roles at Netflix, Nickelodeon, The Jim Henson Company, Mattel, and Fremantle, where she led global strategies to acquire, develop, and distribute content across multiple platforms.
At Netflix, Amy served as Director of Global Content Acquisitions & Co-Productions for Kids & Family, spearheading strategies for animated films, live-action co-productions, and global acquisitions. She played a pivotal role in securing major titles such as Cocomelon, PJ Masks, Peppa Pig, and the Academy Award–nominated Shaun the Sheep: Farmageddon, while overseeing creative and production for a wide variety of series including Bet, Geek Girl, Surviving Summer, I Woke Up a Vampire, Super Monsters, AlienTV, Power Rangers Dino Fury, That Girl Lay Lay, Scaredy Cats and many more.
